Swedish artist Maria Friberg's black and white series Force Majeure will be exhibited by Paris-based gallery Bendana | Pinel Art Contemporain at this year's Paris Photo art fair.
Friberg's Force Majeure series takes us into a staged world that contains real features. Each work represents an atmospheric vision of modernist architecture, depicting cityscapes crafted from everyday objects, imitating New York, Miami, Detroit, and San Francisco’s Chinatown. The playful black and white state of mind reflects the physical past and future, and the relation to cities that have dramatically changed from comfortzone to warzone to pandemic zone.
